Learn By Doing
Beginning in the 9th grade, your young adult should experience a sense of accomplishment as they begin a higher level of learning. At this age teens are primarily focused on social activities and relationships rather than education. With this in mind, Acorns 2 Oaks has additional clubs and electives for your child’s enrichment. As with all things, it is a balancing act when assisting senior high students with planning. Ultimately, it is your job as their parent to remind them of their educational goals.
Towards their Junior and Senior year, we will begin to think about graduation and college level courses, while making sure that they have mastered the basics. By the end of the 12th grade, your child has accomplished much and should be well prepared to go on to technical training, the military, or move toward college, to complete their degree. Once you sign up for our Our Senior High Program, we will assist you in choosing the courses your student will need as each tutoring course is purchased individually. This method allows you to pick and choose which courses you would like to teach at home and which courses you would like to hire a tutor to teach for you. You have the option of choosing group tutoring classes or private tutoring sessions. Either option will give your child a well rounded educational experience and prepare them for the future.
